These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and the operator of shooff ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using shooff (the "Software") or visiting shooff.my (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software or the Site.
shooff is a personal media management application for macOS that lets you detect, download, encrypt, and organize media files you are authorized to access. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of shooff complies with applicable law and the terms of the websites and services from which you download.
Subject to these Terms and timely payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on a Mac that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

When you purchase additional storage, we issue a unique license key. The key can be transferred to a different Mac, but only one Mac may be active for a given key at any time. Activating a new Mac deactivates the key on the previously active Mac.
You are responsible for keeping your license key secure. We cannot recover a lost key except by verifying your original PayPal transaction. Loss of the key without verifiable proof of purchase may result in permanent loss of the entitlement.
The free tier permits up to ten (10) files in the shooff library. Add-on purchases extend the limit. Prices shown on the Site are in U.S. Dollars and exclude any taxes or payment processor fees that may apply in your jurisdiction. Payment is processed by PayPal.
All purchases are final except as described in the Refund Policy. See the Refund Policy for details on cooling-off periods and exchange eligibility.

You are solely responsible for the content you access and store using shooff. We do not monitor, host, or have knowledge of the content stored in your local library.
shooff, the Site, the shooff name and logo, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms.
shooff incorporates open-source components (including Electron, yt-dlp, ffmpeg, aria2c, Whisper, NLLB-200, and the Ghostery adblocker engine). Each component is subject to its own license, available on request.
The Software may periodically check for and install updates automatically. You may disable auto-updates in settings. We may release updates that fix security issues, add features, or address legal or commercial requirements.
THE SOFTWARE AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
We do not warrant that the Software will always work with every website or video source. Third-party sites change frequently, which may break detection or download functionality until we release an update.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THE SOFTWARE, OR THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including statutory consumer rights in the Republic of Korea, the European Union, and the United Kingdom).
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Software, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your license at any time if you materially breach these Terms, if we discontinue the service, or if required by law. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies. Sections that by their nature survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 13) will continue in effect.
We may modify the Software, the Site, or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on shooff.my with at least 14 days' notice. Continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection jurisdiction in your country of residence.
